We will board the train for a scenic 50-minute journey to Hillerød, the town hosting our first royal destination.
Guided visit: Begin the day at the magnificent Frederiksborg Palace (ticket included). We will explore the opulent chapel, the Great Hall, and the royal chambers of this iconic Renaissance castle, often called the “Versailles of the North.”
Transfer to coast Travel: Board the train for a brief 35-minute transfer to the coastal town of Helsingør, where the legendary Kronborg Castle awaits.
Free time: Break for lunch in the charming medieval harbor town of Helsingør. Your guide will recommend local spots for a quick, enjoyable meal or a coffee break near the water.
Kronborg Castle (Hamlet) Guided visit: Enter the formidable UNESCO World Heritage site of Kronborg Castle (ticket included). We will delve into its strategic maritime history and the legend that ties this fortress to Shakespeare’s Hamlet, exploring the Royal Chambers and the famed Casemates.
Coastal views & buffer Free time (15 mins): Short time for photos of the Øresund, the strait separating Denmark and Sweden, before heading back to the station.
