About the tour

An immersive, chef-led cooking experience where you go behind the scenes of Danish gastronomy. You will learn to bake traditional rye bread and master the intricate techniques of assembling "Smørrebrød"—the world-famous Danish open-faced sandwiches.

Itinerary

Your experience begins with an introduction to the rich history of Danish heritage and the seasonal ingredients that define Nordic flavors. Once in the kitchen, you will jump straight into the action by preparing a variety of traditional toppings, dressings, and garnishes under the guidance of our chef. After the prep work, you will move into the creative phase where you learn the specific techniques required to assemble, stack, and decorate three distinct types of open-faced sandwiches. The session culminates in our dining room, where you will sit down to enjoy the beautiful meal you have prepared, paired with a cold beer and a glass of traditional snaps in a true atmosphere of Danish hygge.
